View RecordsArlington city-jail records and Tarrant County detention records are separate; mugshot questions should follow the official custody system that holds the record.
For Arlington city-jail custody, use Arlington’s current inmate list or jail-history search. For Tarrant County detention, the county’s official Online Resources page links “Sheriff’s Inmate Data and Mugshots” to the county inmate-search portal. The linked Tarrant County destination is a functioning inmate-search form, but do not promise that every returned inmate record will display a booking photo; verify the individual search result. A mugshot or booking image documents a booking/custody stage; it does not establish guilt, conviction, or final case disposition.
Arlington’s city jail and Tarrant County’s detention system are separate custody routes. The Arlington city page provides a current inmate-list route, while the Arlington Jail History Search is for historical city-jail records. Tarrant County separately maintains the sheriff inmate-search route. Keep the custody system attached to the fact you are reporting.
Tarrant County’s official Online Resources page currently labels its link “Sheriff’s Inmate Data and Mugshots,” and that link resolves to the county inmate-search portal. That supports using the official county route when a mugshot or booking-photo question concerns Tarrant County custody, but it does not justify promising a photo on every inmate result.
| Record | Official route | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Current Arlington city-jail custody | Arlington Jail Inmate List | Current city-jail booking/custody information |
| Historical Arlington jail entry | Arlington Jail History Search | Historical city-jail search information |
| Tarrant County inmate data / mugshots | Tarrant County Online Resources -> Sheriff inmate search | County directory labels the resource “Sheriff’s Inmate Data and Mugshots”; verify the returned result for actual photo availability |
| Police incident report | Arlington Police report search/records | The agency report, which is not the same as a jail record or court disposition |
If the real question is what happened after booking, move to the court case. Carry the arrest date, agency, name, booking number, and any case number forward so the custody record can be matched to the correct disposition without treating a mugshot or inmate entry as proof of conviction.
